Steve McQueen was born in Indiana in 1930, and he rose to fame after appearing on the NBC western series, “Tales of Wells Fargo.” Nicknamed “The King of Cool”, he became a huge movie star in the 1960s and 1970s, acting in “The Sand Pebbles”, “The Great Escape’, ‘The Getaway’, and “The Magnificent Seven”. Sadly, McQueen died young, at the age of 50, in Mexico.
His death was said to have been caused by mesothelioma after he was exposed to asbestos on movie sets. Fortunately for his legacy, he has two grandchildren. You could say that his grandson, Steve R. McQueen, has some pretty big shoes to fill if he ever plans on becoming an actor, especially with a name like that.
Jason Ritter: Grandson of Tex Ritter
Jason Ritter’s breakout role was in the films "Joan of Arcadia" and "Parenthood." Jason definitely looks like his father and his country music-singing grandfather, Tex Ritter. Tex Ritter was born in 1905 in Texas. Although he went to Law school, he later decided that a career in show business was his calling.
He started off as a singer and later switched to acting in Western films during the 30s. He had two children, Tom and John. After finding out that Tom had Cerebral Palsy, he started a nonprofit organization called United Cerebral Palsy. Jason seems to have acquired his grandfather’s big smile and distinctive nose.
Viva Vadim: Grandaughter of Jane Fonda
The beauty that is Jane Fonda has had a very successful career consisting of acting, writing, producing, and modeling. After a few decades of very prosperous acting, she released her first workout video called "Jane Fonda’s Workout," and it became the highest-selling VHS of all time. She released another 22 workout videos that sold over 17 million copies.
Fonda's youthful appearance really brings out the similarities between her and her granddaughter, Viva Vadim. Viva, like her grandmother, is stunning. She was born in 2002 to Vanessa Vadim, Jane’s daughter, and her husband, Paul Waggoner. Maybe Viva will follow in her grandmother’s footsteps and become an actress as well!
Benjamin Keough: Grandson of Elvis Presley
The king of rock and roll, Elvis Presley, had one daughter, Lisa Presley. Lisa’s son, Benjamin Keough, looked exactly like Elvis. Unsurprisingly, Benjamin was also in the music business. When your grandfather was one of the most famous musicians to ever live, it wasn’t hard to enter the business.
You can be sure that he inherited not only some of his grandfather’s wealth but also his talent. Keogh’s mother, Lisa, used to get really emotional when she looked at her son because of how much he looked like her father. Sadly, Benjamin died in 2020 at the age of 27.
Billie Lourd: Grandaughter of Debbie Reynolds
Debbie Reynolds had a long and successful career of nearly 70 years. Her first big role, which made her a household name, was in "Three Little Words." Shortly after, she starred as Kathy Selden in "Singin’ in the Rain" and in the "Halloweentown" series. Not long after her film successes, she released a pop album called "Debbie."
Reynolds paved the way for women in her family to have successful careers. Her granddaughter, Billie Lourd, hasn’t quite reached their level of success, but she is more than deserving of an honorable mention for her role in the TV series "Scream Queens" and "American Horror Story". She even starred in the "Star Wars" sequel trilogy from 2015 to 2019.
