Wes Welker & Anna Burns Welker
Wide receiver Wes Welken closed out a solid eleven-season career in the NFL with the St. Louis Rams in 2015. The five-time Pro Bowler has a list of accomplishments in the league, including holding the record, in a tie, for NFL record 99-yard reception. He also holds another sort of record; he’s absorbed six documented concussions. But now he’s on to a safer career in the NFL as a wide receiver coach for the San Francisco 49ers.
Besides being Miss Hooters International and a fashion model, Anna Burns has made some waves as a ferocious WAGS with a fierce hubby-defense launched via social media. The social media blowout happened during the 2013 NFL Playoffs. Clearly, she truly regretted the insult post, yet seven years later, if you search her name, her Ray Lewis burn on Facebook will flood your search results.
Corey Liuget & Faven
WAGS Miami Faven Liuget and Chargers defensive end Corey Liuget is married with two children. The Ethiopian-born beauty also runs an upscale suit company that specializes in suiting up professional athletes for game day. Corey Liuget has had a long run with the San Diego and LA Chargers. He’s been with the franchise since 2011.
He is in the middle of his second contract with the team, a 5-year extension worth $58.5 million. Wife Faven was very pleased to announce the agreement and says he is the best defensive end in the league.
Eli Manning & Abby McGrew
Eli Manning and Abby McGrew fell in love in college at the University of Mississippi in 2002. As the team’s star quarterback, Manning dominated the field all four years while McGrew cheered him on. Out of Ole Miss, he became the No. 1 2004 NFL Draft pick for the NY Giants. This worked out perfectly since his future wife was already in NYC working in the fashion industry.
Now they have four children, three daughters, and one baby brother. And Manning, brother to Peyton, has kept quarterbacking in the family by leading the Giants to two spectacular Super Bowl wins.
AJ Feeley & Heather Mitts
A pro-athlete pair! Quarterback AJ Freely was picked up by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2001. His decade-long career with the NFL included the rosters of the Dolphins, Chargers, Panthers, and Rams. Heather Mitts played professional women’s soccer for the US national team as well as a long list of US pro teams. Her last pro season was with the Boston Breakers in 2013.
In 2010, Freely married the women’s international soccer star in Cabo San Lucas. They have two children, a son, and a daughter. Mitts is a sports reporter for the ABC and ESPN networks. She serves as a soccer analyst and a sideline correspondent.
