Elisabeth Hasselbeck is the dominant celebrity in this household, but at home, former quarterback Tim Hasselbeck calls the shots. She says he’s the quarterback of their household, and she likes it like that. Their household includes three children and three busy schedules. Moving out to Nashville from NYC has helped steady the ship. About the relocation, Elisabeth told Fox & Friends, “We just heard God calling us there and did that in time.”
Her husband keeps active as an ESPN analyst. His eight seasons with the NFL included quarterbacking for the Giants, Redskins, Bills, and Ravens. He met his wife, who represented a Christian perspective on The View at Boston College. She got her start winning a Survivor contest in 2001. She is also recognized as a keynote speaker at the Republican National Conventions in both 2004 and 2008.
Eli Manning & Abby McGrew
Eli Manning and Abby McGrew fell in love in college at the University of Mississippi in 2002. As the team’s star quarterback, Manning dominated the field all four years while McGrew cheered him on. Out of Ole Miss, he became the No. 1 2004 NFL Draft pick for the NY Giants. This worked out perfectly since his future wife was already in NYC working in the fashion industry.
Now they have four children, three daughters, and one baby brother. And Manning, brother to Peyton, has kept quarterbacking in the family by leading the Giants to two spectacular Super Bowl wins.
AJ Feeley & Heather Mitts
A pro-athlete pair! Quarterback AJ Freely was picked up by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2001. His decade-long career with the NFL included the rosters of the Dolphins, Chargers, Panthers, and Rams. Heather Mitts played professional women’s soccer for the US national team as well as a long list of US pro teams. Her last pro season was with the Boston Breakers in 2013.
In 2010, Freely married the women’s international soccer star in Cabo San Lucas. They have two children, a son, and a daughter. Mitts is a sports reporter for the ABC and ESPN networks. She serves as a soccer analyst and a sideline correspondent.
Antonio Brown & Jena Frumes
This celebrity couple’s relationship did not last long. Jena Frumes is an Instagram model and influencer with over two million followers. You can bet her romance with pro-NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown was all over her Instagram page.
After a public spat and photos of him cuddling him with an ex, Frumes fired back by publicizing his private phone number, she said, to encourage followers to harass him until she gets her stuff back. Back in Brown’s court, he said that he was doing the right thing. That’s some serious drama! And as you can see, she also dated Jason Derulo for a bit.
Christian Ponder & Samantha Ponder
ESPN sideline reporter Samantha Steele was also a sports reporter for Fox Sports Net, as well as a studio co-host for ESPN. When she met Christian Ponder, she fell in love “pretty much” at first sight and became Samantha Ponder, but friends just call her Sam. The couple hooked up on Twitter after Ponder would not give up sending her Tweets. He would ask her sports questions relentlessly. Now, of course, they are married.
In 2011, the Minnesota Vikings drafted Christian Ponder. He’s quarterbacked for the Broncos and the 49ers. Career-wide, he passed over 6,600 yards. Currently, he is a free agent. The couple has three children.
