Whether you’ve been keeping pets for ages or just got your first rescue yesterday, you know that pet parenting is not to be taken lightly. While these creatures give you unmatched love, taking care of them can be a source of stress or anxiety. That’s usually the case with anything that solely relies on you for survival. (Even if your cat would have you believe it couldn’t care less about you.) To help with that, a meditation app called “Breethe” has added a new collection of guided meditations for pet parents. All approved by a vet, of course.

The collection answers to the name “Press Paws” (adorable!) and it has various tracks designed to help pet owners relax while tending to their animal friends, especially if that new furry creature was only added to the family quite recently.
Pet adoptions have been on a rise in the past couple of years, which is wonderful news. Taking in a rescue dog, cat, or whatever critter floats your boat is very exciting. But the new responsibilities can also be a little overwhelming as you get acquainted with each other. The new”Press Paws” tracks will help you relax and your new pet could get the reassurance it needs in this new environment of your home.
So what’s on there?
Pet parents (although anyone is welcome to try, really) can work through their stress with breathing exercises that also help build better patience. Some tracks are even designed for mutual listening such as a bedtime story “Fido’s Journey to his Fur-ever Home”, or a playlist to help dogs cope with separation anxiety simply titled “Don’t Go!”.
This is the first time a meditation app has ever offered content specifically designed for pets and pet owners. Moreover, upon providing proof of adoption, you can enjoy all of this content for free!
