After watching several seasons, we found ourselves hanging onto every design detail on “Fixer Upper.” By now, it’s safe to say we know a thing or two about Joanna Gaines, so we decided to share some of her trusted color combos because when Joanna Gaines talks about home decor, we listen. Luckily for us, the Magnolia maven is sharing some of her favorite kitchen paint color combinations. She had this to say about her reveal, “The kitchen is the heartbeat of the home, which means its obviously one of my favorite spaces. It’s been so heartening to watch families gravitate towards their kitchens, again and again, this year, maybe more than ever before.” So here you have it, four of her favorite color combinations for making the kitchen a cozy space…
1. White and Cream
Joanna has this to say about this combo: “White on white paint is super versatile because it acts as a great backdrop for any style, including eclectic, modern, traditional, etc. Cream tends more toward a traditional style for me personally. However, you can always introduce more modern elements like tiles or hardware to capture whichever style you are hoping to achieve.”
2. Bold Blue and White
Joanna says: “We always like to keep the walls as neutral as possible when using a bold darker cabinet color. Dramatic color combinations like this tend to gravitate more eclectic and modern styles and are a great way to capture a moody vibe in your kitchen.”

3. Gray and White
Joanna says: “This specific color combination is mostly used in traditional kitchen styles. Feel free to interchange these colors since they are both neutrals, although I would recommend avoiding a monochromatic scheme of all gray. I do encourage you to play with fun lighting, and rugs to add accents of brightness and texture throughout the space.”
4. Light Blue/Green and White
Joanna says: “This combo can lean either to a more modern or traditional feel, so it’s a good way to add some color to your kitchen in a way that’s more subtle and classic.”
