Unless you work in medicine or in emergency services, it’s likely you never had to actively save someone’s life. And if you have, we’re pretty sure that didn’t catch the attention of many Hollywood stars. Well, little Bridger Walker has got all of you beat and he’s not even seven years old.
Thanks, bro!
When Bridger was walking down the street with his little sister when he noticed a dog charging in their direction. In the blink of an eye, he put himself between the dog and his sister, suffering the harsh consequences himself. The dog got him instead, leaving him with a badly bitten face that needed countless stitches and a long healing process. His act of bravery made headlines when his aunt wrote about it in an Instagram post that went viral.

The newest avenger
In her Instagram post about Bridger’s heroic actions, his aunt tagged a few of the people closest to real-life superheroes — the cast of “The Avengers”. She tagged Mark Ruffalo, Robert Downey Jr., Tom Holland, Chris Hemsworth, and Chris Evans, among others. Those actors all play superheroes in one of the biggest comic franchises of the last decade and needed to know of the little boy who is just as brave. When he heard about the case, Chris Evans reached out to the courageous Bridger with a video message, praising him for what he did and wishing him a speedy recovery.

Avengers, assemble!
Other than Evans’s recorded message, he also promised to send Bridger a present — a real Captain America shield befitting of his heroic actions. Some of the other Avengers tagged in the post also responded with kind words and special gifts. Tom Holland, for example, invited him to visit the set of his upcoming “Spider-Man” movie. Robert Downey Jr. apparently has something pretty unique in mind as he told Bridger to reach out to him when his birthday is coming up for “something special” he has for him.
