Larvotto Beach
As the only beach in Monaco, Larvotto Beach is also the most popular beach in this little European gem. Considered as one of the most luxurious beaches in the world, there is a high chance for visitors to get a glimpse of one celeb or another enjoying some time off. Certain areas of the beach are free for all, while others are restricted and require an entrance fee. Take note that it is common to see some of the beachgoers sunbathing in their birthday suit.
Monte Carlo Casino
The Monte Carlo Casino was established in the 16th century as a means of saving the Grimaldis, the local royal family, from going bankrupt. At the time, Monaco wasn’t so much of a tourist magnet, but the casino turned that around, attracting people from all over the world. Be aware that in order to go into the casino, you will need to show an ID (the locals, ironically, aren’t allowed to gamble) and dress formally.
Jardin Exotique
You don’t have to speak French to guess that the Jardin Exotique is a garden full of exotic plants. Built on top of a high cliff, this botanical garden features a collection of over 1,000 species of cacti and succulents. Make sure to take a picture from the top as the Monaco skyline reveals itself to you. At the bottom of the cliff, you will find an underground cave where you can take guided tours.
