Soules went back to farming life in Iowa, keeping busy and working out. And being very active on social media networks, since he is constantly posting selfies. Hey, the guy wasn’t quite ready to let go of the fame and fortune of the celeb spotlight, and to be honest, we don’t mind looking at selfies of a guy that looks like that. Do you?
Unfortunately, Soules made national headlines after being part of a fatal car crash in his hometown of Iowa. He went to trial for his involvement in the crash, which ended in him pleading guilty in November 2018. After completing his two years of probation, he seems to be doing okay. Soules is currently single, and hopefully, not facing life in prison!
Now: Nikki Ferrell
Nikki went on to marry boyfriend Tyler Van Loo, a guy she'd been with before going on "The Bachelor." They got married in October 2016 and later had a son together. She continues to work as a pediatric nurse in Kansas City and appears to feature what seems like sponsored content on her Instagram account.
Nikki reflected on her experience on the show, saying, “I can’t believe this was two years ago,” Nikki wrote. “Comparing my life then to my life now is unreal. I’ve learned so much and grown so much as a person, and I honestly couldn’t be happier. Although it’s taken me a while to realize it, I wouldn’t be the person I am today without that experience.”
The Bachelor, Season 19: Chris Soules and Whitney Bischoff
This was truly a love story, at least from Whitney's point of view. Viewers could tell that she'd really fallen for American farmer, Chris Soules. As it turns out, he proposed at the end of the season, in 2015, and Soules went on to appear on "Dancing With the Stars."
But the couple never got married. Only six months after the season finale, and right after Chris' appearance on "Dancing With the Stars," the couple broke it off. Oh well, guess farmers aren't a safe bet, either.
Now: Whitney Bischoff
Whitney remained in the spotlight for a little longer, participating in "Bachelor Nation." In 2016, she appeared with six other former contestants in an improvised parody of the famous show, called “Will You Accept This Rose”.
Bischoff continues to work as a fertility nurse in Chicago. She got married to Ricky Angel in 2017, to which she said, “I am very, very lucky,” she said. “I’ve met a great man and I’m the happiest I’ve ever been." They now have two children. Congrats, girl!
The Bachelor, Season 20: Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell
Ben Higgins proposed to Lauren Bushnell at the end of season 20, but not before declaring his love for finalist, JoJo Fletcher. Ben admitted that he had chosen Lauren because he liked her just a little bit more. Wow dude, what a romantic proposal.
The couple tried to make it work; Lauren moved to Denver with Higgins and they were together for a while, even appearing on their own reality show, “Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After?” The couple decided to call off their wedding on November 2016, but remain engaged. Still, they broke it off completely just a few months later.
