The finishing touch of every woman’s (and man’s) look is not even a piece of clothing — it’s her perfume. Coco Chanel is known for her great love of fragrances, and Coco knows what she’s talking about. So we went exploring to see what are the signature scents worn by some of our favorite women out there. The smell of success is within reach now more than ever.
Marilyn Monroe
Just like Marilyn herself, this star’s signature scent is, sadly, no longer in production. Her favorite fragrance was Floris Rose Geranium, which was overwhelmingly floral. Containing roses, geranium, sandalwood, and citronella, anyone who was lucky enough to spend some time with Monroe, got a whiff. The star was also a fan of Canel No.5, which is, thankfully, still available.

Michelle Obama
Michelle Obama is the closest thing America has to royalty. So, it’s no surprise that the fragrance she uses is also favored by the British Royal Family. The powerful scent is called Love in White by Creed, and it features notes of citrus, magnolia, and other floral ingredients.

Angelina Jolie
Angelina Jolie is mostly known for acting, but if you ever got a chance to physically be around her, you’d know her for her favorite perfume — 1969 by Histoire De Parfum. It’s a bold, niche scent with notes of chocolate and white musk, which definitely suits the actress’s personality and career choices.

Adele
With vocal intensity unmatched by any other, Adele needs a perfume that is equally powerful. Her choice of fragrance is Hypnotic Poison by Christian Dior. This hypnotizing scent is made of vanilla, jasmine, and almonds, and is sensual as it is powerful.

Audrey Hepburn
As an unmatched fashion icon, Audrey Hepburn’s looks were always polished and thoughtfully put together. That applies to her perfume as well. Her favorite scent to wear was custom-made for her by Givenchy and originally named L’Interdit. Nowadays, however, it goes by Creed Spring Flower. The fruity scent is still the same, though.
