What you need
Baking soda (1 cup)
Citric acid (1/2 cup)
Epsom salt (1/2 cup)
Cornstarch (1/2 cup)
Water (3/4 tsp)
Essential oil of your choice (2 tsp)
Oil (almond, coconut, and baby oil are good choices) (2 tsp)
Food coloring of your choice (a couple of drops)
A mold (there are ones specifically made for bath bombs but you can use muffin molds or any kind of mold you have in your kitchen. (Just make sure it’s clean.)
Feel free to add some dried flowers if you’re feeling fancy.
What you do
Mix all the dry ingredients, except for the citric acid in a bowl.
Get a jar with a lid, put all of the liquids left, close it, and shake it to mix them all together.
Pour the content of the jar into the mixing bowl and kneed the whole thing with your hands. This is when you add in the citric acid. At this point, you will see the mixture lightly fizzing. This is a good thing. It means you’re doing it right.
Pack the concoction into the mold and make sure it’s pushed in as tightly as possible, even if it means you go slightly overboard. Once packed, release the bombs from the mold onto a sheet of wax paper.
Give your bombs 1-2 days to fully dry before using them.
Draw yourself a bath with your favorite bubbles, music, and scented candles, and let those bombs do the thing they were meant to do.
