From Arequipa, Peru, we see a young man who is just trying to get his carrots where they need to and having a difficult time doing it. We don’t know if Peru has a lot of rabbits, but it’s about to have an influx.
However, we do know that Peru is flush with carrots, which explains why this guy can’t even hold all the veggies he’s supposed to be transporting – the country produces hundreds of tons a year, and carrots aren’t very heavy at all. That’s a lot of orange. Arequipa is the biggest producer in Peru, growing almost half of them.
Fading Away
There are tons of pictures like this guy all over Google Street View and for a good reason. Cameras work in a specific way to capture the clearest image, and sometimes people, other cars, or other things around the Google car will be caught between two images, resulting in shots like this one.
It looks like a guy is appearing out of the time stream to go about his business, saving the future, or making sure that nobody changes the recipe for Toblerone or something like that. Or maybe he's already done his work preserving the timestream, and he's headed back to 654,980 A.D.
Getting Some Work Done
This picture comes to us from Slovakia, in Central Europe, and while we can't really see much, it looks like a charming place. That shed has seen better times, but it's still standing. The guy is working in a small trailer, collecting lumber or pulling his tools out after a long day of work.
What's in the shed? Well, we don't know. But if it's like more sheds, it's full of all sorts of stuff that, strictly speaking, isn't all that useful. But every once in a while, he has exactly the right part for a project you're working on.
Snacking on Something
All three of these guys look like they're pulling off the exact same pose, and we wonder what the meaning could be. Are they all chewing their fingernails as they take a peek at the Google car? Did they just pick something up from the ice cream truck and finish it at the same time?
Maybe they're listening back to insults from Shakespeare's time and biting their thumb at the Capulets across the street. Whatever the answer is, it looks like three generations of men are all made the same way.
Hat Head
If you went through and counted, you'd probably find billions of instances of something like this on Google Street View. A person or object that has been chopped into a strange shape or put together in a way that is just strange.
It's all thanks to cameras, but this one is a little funnier than most of the examples. It looks like a neck with a hat on top of it. Or some little pinhead decided to finally see what that beautiful wide world outside his door had to offer him.
